Description The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 places a statutory duty on Local Authorities together with Police, Probation and Health to prevent youth offending. It is expected that this will be achieved through tackling the causes of offending and anti-social behaviour with aims and objectives laid out in the annual Youth Justice Plan. All partner agencies are responsible and accountable for achieving the aims of the Youth Justice Plan and the 13 National Performance Measures through their contribution to the Youth Offending Service and support and assistance through their own resources.
