Description This interagency protocol provides the basis for a joint approach to the assessment of children in need and their families in Suffolk. It is in accordance with Department of Health Guidance, and is effective from 1 April 2001.

The key aim is an effective, accessible and speedy response to children in need and their families, in a framework that is led by Suffolk Social Care Services and owned by all the key agencies in Suffolk that work with children and their families.
